Hello! My name is Ruth. I love being a caregiver because it rewards me with the ability to help our seniors. I love spending time with them and listening to all they have to share! They have so much knowledge, and expertise, and love to here all their memories. I became a caregiver when my dear friend, and "POPS" to my children, health started to fail. I helped him with housekeeping, bookkeeping, doctors appts, meal prep, medication reminders, and eventually his last will. My kids loved him. I decided to continue with caregiving. A 95 year old lady, that lives down the street, was my next patient, my kids loved her as well! My greatest achievement was a 86 yr old lady, who had a mild stroke. She wasn't even aware of it, yet with time, and lots of love? She was back to herself working in the garden as she loved to do! And she is doing fine today!
