When I was 8 years old my grandmother came to live with us after grampa died. She had arthritis in both arms, and needed help. She jokingly called me her right hand man, as I helped her. She was my best buddy growing up, and my love for her was deep. I felt needed and appreciated, as our love grew. It was the Launchpad for my caregiving career. I enjoy care giving, because I love to help people improve their quality of life, as they gain the satisfaction of gaining independence. It allows them to stay in their own home, and keeping them happy not having to feel abandoned in a nursing home. I guess my personal achievement would be the wonderful people I have been blessed to work with over the years, the quality relationships we have enjoyed together. My clients love my love, and we treat each other like family. Several of them have told me they wanted to adopt me. I have six adopted mom's and five adopted dad's. I enjoy working with the elderly, they have so much wisdom to share. I love people. All backgrounds, sizes and shapes.I like to sew, enjoy plants, and love animals. I have a dog, who is a sweetheart.
