I began my fascination with healthcare as a child. I would polish my grandmother's white nursing shoes for her in the mornings as she was getting ready for work. She worked as a CNA at a nursing home in Lexington, VA. I remember looking at her and thinking I want to be just like her when I grow up. So as an adult I received my LPN and worked 18 years in Critical Care roles as well as skilled nursing home units in Roanoke and Martinsville to honor her memory. I've spent most of my life taking care of people because that is my passion and what I'm most proud of.

I am very outspoken, caring and kind. I have the biggest heart for people and I am always finding a way to help others lives be better.

I am very social and work well with people. I am also easy going and can go with the flow. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I was recommended to it from by a guy from church. Something I would enjoy about being a caregiver is being able to help someone with their needs. A personal achievement I am proud of is being apart of the national honors society.

My name is Megan Allen and I'm currently a senior nursing major at Ferrum college. I do this line of work for love of what I do and to gain valuable patient experience for my future career. My name is Michelle. I am 46 years old. Will be 47 next month. I absolutely love to work with the elderly community. I started taking care of my nana at the young age of 16. I was her main caretaker. She had neuropathy and was bedridden as well as being diabetic, having a colostomy bag and the onset of dementia. I absolutely adored her. She was my whole world. Unfortunately, she passed away when I was 18 years old and at that time, I knew what I was set to do here on earth and that was to take care of people. It just comes naturally to me to be honest I am a caregiver at heart.! it gives me great rewards just to see the smile on someone's face when taking amazing care of them. I have done private duty caregiving for the last 20+ years and I'm just looking to do something different and coming on board with CareLinx. I am so excited to see where this journey leads with a new company and trying something different and I look forward to me and working with new clients. God bless.
