About Connie

I became a licensed CNA in 1992 intending to further my education to RN while working as a CNA. Once I began working in geriatrics I absolutely loved it and decided to remain a CNA so my job would always be very hands on. I have worked in both nursing home and home health settings and while I enjoyed the teamwork and high energy required in the nursing home I also very much enjoy the relationship that grows between the caregiver and the client in a one on one setting. I truly feel that the better you know the patient the better you are able to provide the care and companionship they need. I also understand the want of individuals to remain in their own homes during their golden years and believe that with the support of family members and when matched with the right caregiver this is possible even through their hospice care.

I became a caregiver 22 years ago when (at that time) my mothers employer was looking for a 'fill-in' person. I gave it a try and absolutely fell in love with what I did! I love being a caregiver because I find great joy in helping others!! I have worked with a lot of Seniors and I have helped them to be able to stay in their homes! I have a passion for helping others! I am a very energetic, trustworthy, reliable and caring individual!! I am able to provide great references upon request!!

Hello, my name is Eileen, and I would like to give you some insight of who I am, where I came from, and what has led me to this point. I was 6th of 7 children my mom & dad had together and raised. That taught me to share space, keep your space clean, get along with various personalities, and moods, as well as my independence. A native of Norfolk, a graduate of Norview High School, captain of the swim team, which taught me to be a leader, motivator to others, and a success. I moved to NC in 1995. A mother of 3 kids, now grown, with my youngest being diagnosed with bipolar at age 10. She is now 21. When I couldn't soothe her, I'd find a new approach, or keep trying. Patience, learning about something, like bipolar, when I was unfamiliar with it. Not giving up, learning what difficult is, and what is not difficult. I can do this. I became a self employed business owner, starting Happy Blue Crab Cleaning Service, in NC. in May 2006, servicing the outer Banks. My love for leadership and cleaning led me to Environmental Services Director at Three Rivers Health & Rehabilitation for 2 years in Windsor, NC. From 2010-2012. I became a caregiver in May 2018, where I currently work. Earning the trust of who I care for, her family, and proving to be above and beyond any expectations they had. Becoming very close, cleaning the entire house, top to bottom, one room at a time, This helps to make room, declutter, so the family has less to do later, and improve air quality for allergies that their mom had. My proudest moment was hearing her family tell the insurance company at the assessment, how much better their mom's health was, since having me there. How nice the house looks and smells, how much their mom speaks so highly of me, the person, and my caregiving abilities. CPR/AED certification, including elderly and infants. Good through August 2022 Eileen
