I become a Personal Care Aide, to allow the seniors to live in their home, simply by taking care of their every daily needs such as bathing, cooking 3 square meals a day, dressing them, grooming them on a daily basis, washing of clothes, cleaning the house to make sure that it is always sanitary to keep sickness and illness away at all times. I got into this field because my father had dementia, he also had a stroke. I did not like the way the facility was taking care of him, I decided when he passed away to get into this field on a part-time basis as I worked in the telecommunications company. I did that from 1992 to the present and only about 6 years ago I decided to get a certificate to become a certified Personal Care Aide. It has been 23 yrs that I have been taking care of senior citizens people autistic, brain damage individual and persons who are not able to be left alone while loved ones are at work because I have great patience, love for humanity this is what makes me good at what I do. I am now a CNA, I have my CPR, TB, test, I am a certified nurse assistant, soon to be a medication side as well, which will give me the right by law to administered medication to patients as I care for them.
