I pursued a CNA license because I want a job where I can help people for a living. I was in a traumatic car accident that caused me to need to stay nearly a month in a hospital. I came to know what needing help feels like and also what genuine care feels like and what impersonal care feels like. I have had nursing assistants who gave me care as if I were family while I also have had nursing assistants who gave very cold care as if I were not a person at all. I want to give the same level of genuine care to others as I would expect to receive if I were in their position.
