- Serving as a compassionate companion to clients - Transporting clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc. - Following Patient Care Plan - Management of medications - Meal preparation - Shopping and running errands - Performing light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up - Interpersonal skills, including exceptional patience and listening skills - Maintaining routines to ensure clients' comfort and sense of security - The ability to adapt to changing care plans seamlessly - Keeping proper care records and reporting changes to the nursing team right away - Encouraging socialization and participation in social and community activities - Communicating with families, co-workers, and care team regarding clients' care - Assisting with transfer and mobility - Maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment, while maintaining clients' dignity and integrity at all times Medical Related / Personal Care - Oral/Mouth care - Denture cleaning - Bathing & Shaving - Dressing & Grooming (e.g., Brushing hair, applying makeup, etc.) - Foot care and hand care (to include polishing) - Assisting with feeding
