I have always been close to my elderly family as a young child .As I got older I would volunteer with my friends family to help them and I took care of my Uncle Rudy after his stroke .This is when I New my next calling after his passing was to continue to help the Senior in my community as I have now for HISC for going on 5 yrs.I am very compassionate and they come first,Family's have asked for me by name after having me once they ask for me to be their care giver. I'm always a half hr, early so not to be late , I have a 100 percent respect from my bosses Buck and Tonya Shaw the owners of HISC Buck said I'm the whole package. What makes a great caregiver? I believe it's the love for helping people, respecting privacy, being reliable, and always remaining considerate and kind, that makes a wonderful caregiver. I decided to become a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 years ago, at the age of 19. Helping people has always been something that I wanted to do and in my heart I knew caregiving was for me. These past 2 years have been filled with so much love and joy with my residents at my care jobs. Nothing compares to putting a beautiful smile on my residents' faces every morning and being there for them and helping them out when they most need it. I enjoy spending time with my residents and making their days more enjoyable. I think I'm definitely proud of myself for making it through the extremely hard days, but still being able to show up and be there for my residents to let them know that they are not alone.
