Being a caregiver is rewarding it gives me satisfaction and a good feeling to be able to assist elders with things they can no longer do for themselves. I was residential manager of two group homes all dealing with those who had special needs, intellectual developmental issues, and disabilities and I had a great time getting to know all 14 clients and learning from them. I transported, Med passed, cooked, cleaned, gave baths, assisted with dressing and it was an experience like no other. I enjoy the time I get to spend doing activities and making my clients laugh and feel comfortable. If gives me great joy that they know they are loved and cared for.
