I love to talk with people, listen to what they are thinking. I love to be able to be active and if not sitting down and relaxing is fine with me. I am really into taking care of people, I makes me feel good to know they are being well taken care of due to them not being able to do much. I am very proud of being ambitious about getting things done and setting goals. I take it serious that they are comfortable. Helping people overall makes me very happy! I am up to taking on any tasks.

I have been a caregiver/med tech for the past two years. I started in Meridian Idaho at Alpine Meadows Assisted Living as a night shift caregiver I then moved to Jerome Idaho and got a job as a swing caregiver in Twin Falls at Chardonnay Assisted Living. I still work for Chardonnay in Twin, but not as often. The reason I don't work at Chardonnay as often as I used to is because I gave birth to my first daughter nine months ago. I would rather be home with her then away from her. My boss works with me and she calls me about once a month to see if I can work a few shifts in a week. I usually work it out with my husband because he works the 4 AM shift at Costco. I started caregiving because my dad was in desperate need of a noc shift caregiver for his assisted-living. I wasn't planning on going into caregiving, but it was better pay than what I was getting for what I was doing. What I enjoy most about caregiving is the connection you make with your residents. That is my favorite thing. You can form friendships with them and some of them may not have family that live close by so they don't get to see their family every day so you become like family to them and I really love that.
