I started out caregiving while caring for my grandmother about 15 years ago. The time we spent together was a wonderful bonding experience and I wanted to continue with that feeling of accomplishment I get when helping someone and knowing I am making a positive difference in their lives.

I worked for Heaven Sent home care for a year and had 3 clients of all different needs including mobility issues, on oxygen, etc. I was to clean thwir house, give medication reminders and be a companion which is one of the mosmost important parts about being a caregiver. I love to play cards, clean and even just talk if you want to. I'm an excellent cook and could definately assist with meal prep. I worked in the restaraunt industry for 5 years so I definately know more than the basics!

My journey as a caregiver started over 16 years ago I have worked in many healthcare settings as well as home health. I've worked with all ages. Mostly the elderly. I have become, what I consider myself to be, an amazing caregiver. I have a huge heart and i tend to put everyone I care for above and beyond everything else. I listen carefully to peoples needs as well as wants and do my very best to provide what is expected by them or the families NO QUESTION. I decided I wanted to be a caregiver at a young age. My grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and everyone in my family brushed it off as just 'old age'. Well, I wanted to learn more about this dementia and see what I could do to help better her life and the lives of others in this predicament. What I am proud of most is all the positive feedback from families as well as co-workers, managers included, about how great I am and how lucky a place or family is to have me. I have many personal achievements but the one I am most proud of, is I will ALWAYS and forever as long as I am caring for loved ones of my own or others, put quality over quantity.
