I have worked specifically in an assisted living environment, where I managed the home with 5 care residents per one caregiver. I have always been a caregiver. I began with early childhood development as a volunteer at various day care centers and at Head Start. I have always had a passion to work with mentally disabled individuals.

I am a very positive and caring person which helps in my job field. I love to help others. I fell into this field and fell in love with what I do. I love all my individuals and doing something different everyday. I am most proud when I can teach or help someone relearn a skill and see their reaction.

I have been a caregiver for 15yrs. I started off caring for my parents as they aged and then went on to work for an agency for a few years before I decided that I wanted to go on my own. I enjoy getting to know the clients and their families. I have several certifications in elderly care and am vaccinated as well.

I have been a care giver for 10 years now. I am trustworthy and honest. I enjoy caring for people, I treat them like family. I went back to college for my CNA certificate, how ever after working in a nursing home I realized that I prefer work with people privately in their home. I absolutely love the elderly I always feel a conetion with the people I am caring for and it's always been my dream sense a child to care for older people what attracted me is the face the people you care for are sometimes helpless and can't help themselves and to see the way some staff treat people makes me upset because these people need to be shown respect also I enjoy spending time with my residents giving them someone to talk to also caring for them and just being there for them I'm proud of the fact I took my cna and passed clinicals part but I'm still struggling with the online portion ....
