I am a loving and caring person that takes helping others in their homes seriously. I believe people belong in their homes with their families especially eight now with the way COVID is.

I have always been a very caring person but learned how much I enjoyed taking care of others after my father suffered from a stroke. Since then I have worked for years with people with disabilities. I enjoy working one on one with people and helping them accomplish tasks that they have worked hard at. I am proud to say that I have become a manager at my current job.

I have been in the health field for over 13+ years, I've worked at a nursing home throughout college. Went to LPN school (still have to sit boards) My most recent employer was a 74 year young lady with Parkinson's. I worked with her for 10 years. I was what she called her "Girl Friday" I did everything from medication reminders and dispensing, to hiring aides, payroll, care for her cats, ran errands, shopped for her, brought her to all appointments, Cooked for her, house cleaning, bathing, dressing, toileting and companionship ( we were incredibly close) I am a very dependable and reliable caregiver. I am kind, caring and considerate. I love taking care of the elderly. I can truly say I am good at what I do, and take enormous pride in my care.

I am a patient kind person who is a hard worker . I enjoy being a caregiver and enjoy making my clients happy . A personal achievement that I'm proud of is graduating college .

I have worked with many various ailments both mental and physical. I specialize in rehabilitation, Alzheimer's/Dementia, and skilled nursing/hospice. We have on call aides to fill in should anything unexpected come up for a caregiver so you need not ever worry about someone not coming. I also carry liability insurance on myself as well as my fellow caregivers and they are my employees which means they are covered under my disability, unemployment, and workmans comp if anything should happen. About 10 years ago, my great grandmother had a stroke and is now paralyzed completely on her left side. I took time to take care of her all throughout high school and still now. I would stay the night with her and get her up and ready in the morning before I went to school. Just this past year, my great grandpa found out that he had throat cancer. He currently has had a trachea port put in. With that being said, I have been with him and my great grandma taking care of her needs and taking care of him, cleaning the port and transporting them to and from their doctors appointments.

In 2016 I began my time working in Direct Care with a desire to succeed, and the confidence that I can make a positive contribution to the individuals whome I care for. Over the years, I demonstrated dedication to my work and vision by giving insight for better planning, organization, and being naturally scheduled oriented and rarely missing scheduled work days, as well as completing all documentation required. I've also consistently took on additional responsibilities. For example, I took the initiative to become Medication Certified, not only for my benefit, but also for the care of my individuals.
