I am a patient, loving, caring, honest, dependable, and compassionate person who has dedicated my life to the care of my own parents and all the loved one's in our family. The number one attraction to the Home Healthcare field was the knowledge that I could make a positive impact on another person's life. Another huge factor that brought me into this career field was seeing and experiencing first hand the enormous need for compassionate, dependable, and experienced home health aids and caregivers as I advocated and cared for my Dad through Heart Disease, Parkinson's, and Pancreatic Cancer as well as caring for my Mother through her health struggles and challeges with Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Orthopedic Surgeries, Diabetes, Gastrointestinal Disease, Kidney Disease, and Dementia. Knowing I could make a profound difference in the quality of another person's daily life and ease the demands on their family is what motivated me the most to enter the home healthcare field as a professional Home Health Aide. My favorite part of being a HHA is the smiles, hugs, laughter, and companionship shared with my clients and their family as we work together as a team to achieve the client's health and independence goals so they can go about their daily routines in the comfort of their own home. My proudest achievement is that I took the initiative and did all the work necessary to build the knowledge base, skill level, and acquired the hands-on experience needed to build an excellent rapport and reputation for providing excellent care based on respect, dignity, trust, compassion, flexibility, dependability, and dedication to my clients and their families that I have worked for in the Home Healthcare Aide field. My clients and their family's words of praise for my dedication and service to their loved ones says it all.

I became a caregiver in 2004 because I'd spent the last few years of my grandmother's life helping her while she suffered with Alzheimers. I saw how important it was for them to have someone there to help them with the day to day when family couldn't be. Then after I got into the profession my love for helping others just grew. To see the joy it brings to the person to sometimes just have someone there for a companion. I work full time at Rusk State Hospital working closely with clients on Therapeutic Rehabilitation. I went back to part time home health again in July 2021 and am so thankful that I did. In the last 4 years I've worked with some of the absolute most wonderful families. One client even always told his wife, "I'm sure glad she's coming today because I miss her, she's a sweet little girl". I feel such a connection with my clients that to me, they aren't just clients, they are family! I go above and beyond during my visits, I dont just cook and clean. I help out with things from small art projects to flower gardening with my clients, whatever makes them smile that day is what they needed. I am currently on my CPR and Basic Life Support Certification as well.

I am a compassionate person by nature. I've never met a person I didn't like. I treat everyone as I'd treat my own family and posses a certain understanding of the aging process that most caregivers lack. I genuinely care for every client I have and it's shows in my work.

With guidance and strength we can cure our body and mind. I believe in a healthy holistic lifestyle. We are what we eat. I'm a 500hr certified Yoga teacher. I continue my studies about the human body and ways to heal and have less stress. Mindfulness is key. Yoga teach us to have self-control and self-discipline. Be kind to others, love each other deeply, be humble, trustworthy and have cleanliness. To be still and breathe. I love garden, my most favorite thing in the world to do. I love animals.
