I am married, with 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren, and am fortunate enough to still have both my parents! My specialties are Cancer Care, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, Post-Acute, Memory Care, and Hospice Care. I have an innate ability to anticipate the needs of my client, both emotionally and physically. I am open and approachable, and am able to comfortably converse with my client based on their interests and experiences. I began working in a nursing home while in high school. I enjoyed taking the time to care for my clients in the home on a daily basis. For 40 intermittent years I have care for many different types of people who needed assistance and help with their daily lives. I very much enjoy caring for alzheimers patients and also dementia. I've worked with Parkinson's disease clients, multiple sclerosis, The sheer fact of making their responsibilities easier satisfies me.

I am a licensed CNA with over 15 year's experience as both an hourly and an in-home 24 hour caregiver. I have many year's experience in other related healthcare fields as well and am also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I have Nurse Delegation certification, BLS/HCP CPR and First Aid cards, as well as Mental Health certification. The last 2 1/2 years I've worked with predominantly one client providing care for all the activities of daily living (including transportation) and companionship as well as acting as a healthcare advocate. I've also spent 4 years with an Alzheimer's client providing in home care including physical therapy assistance and hospice. My name is Nikki. I have been a certified nursing assistant since 2014, but have been taking care of people since 2000. What attracted me to become a caregiver was taking care of my mother for so long. My mother passed in 2006 and from then on I've been a caregiver. I am a caregiver at night for a client I have had since July 8th of 2015. I am the lead at my job, I handle the medications, doctors apts, payroll, firing, hiring and basically anything you can think of. My job isn't a job it's my life, my career. I have helped take care of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, MS, quadriplegic, cancer, amputations, inserting catheters, condom catheters, pubic catheters, colostomy bags you name it I have done it.
