I am a great caregiver because I treat my patients, not just their diseases. I like to take a look at the big picture, and ask myself, and others on the care team: Why are we in this persons life today? I always put my patients' needs and desires above all else. I consider myself a \"go getter\" and do not wait for events to come to me, but rather seek out ways I can improve myself, and the lives of others. I was first attracted to being a nurse at a young age (about 11 or so) when I realized that when I went to the hospital or doctor's office, it was always the nice nurse that made me feel better, that spent most of the time with me, making me comfortable. I enjoy taking place in other people's recovery the most. Knowing that \"today, I made someone feel better than they were before\", is really what I enjoy about this profession. A personal achievement I am proud of, honestly is making it this far in nursing school. It is one of the most challenging experiences I have had, and I feel proud to say that I am well on my way to being a professional.
