About Tantos

I been working for over 10 years as a Caregiver and a CNA in a variety of settings. I started this career path with work experience in a Adult Family Home with adults and seniors with Dementia, Alzheimer,Parkinson, paralysis and wheelchair-bound. I then transitioned into a Nursing Assistant Living facility and worked with folks battling early stage of Dementia. Next transition was to a team who was specialized in providing individualized support for people with developmental disabilities to help them live a more independently life. I ventured out on my own when one of my family member was asking me for a while to go and pick up a few shifts in the place where she was working taking care in their home of a couple-husband&wife, both of them being in their 100's. I assisted them with activities of daily living such as cooking, eating, medication routine, walking, toileting, laundry and light housekeeping. I actively collaborated with the family and my coworker to make sure proper care was given at all time of the day and night. My passion is helping and taking care of people. I am a good-hearted, energic, capable and adaptable,as well as caring, loving and empathetic. Discreet and respectful with a versatile personality to adapt to whatever caregiving needs are required for a specific client.

Private Home
Originally provided 9-hour care and then transitioned to 24-hour care for a couple-husband&wife in their private home. Administered medications, checked blood pressure, recorded results and any changes on a daily basis and notified family members if needed; cooked and served all meals and snacks every day, including preparing meals requiring special dietary needs; tended to all hygienic bodily needs (showers, bathroom tasks) for both; assisted in dressing both as needed; conducted and recorded daily exercises as recommended by the physicians or health nurses. Met with their family members, in-home health nurses, and therapist's personnel. Made sure their personal needs were being met such as nail and hair care; changed and washed their bedding and clothing on a daily basis and responsible for light house cleaning on a daily basis. Provided activities to encourage them to stay active; accepted deliveries and greeted guests; and contacted ambulance and family members when needed. Used my personal car to drive them to their doctor appointments when needed. Both of them were transferred from their private home to an assisted living facility the last week of July 2019. Continued to provide 24 shift care for both clients in their individual apartment. Provided same identical care as in their private home with the exception of preparation of meals and administering their medication.

I Became a caregiver because I had nobody to care for my mother who was involved in a tragic road accident, and we did not have funds to hire a nurse at home. I love being a caregiver because I am able to give back to the community whole heartedly and those that I care for are so greatful and that feeling makes me happy. Successfully taking care of the elderly and creating a routine that my clients can rely on giving them a peace of mind. I am a patient reliable lady with lots of compassion for the elderly. Kind loving team player.
