I'm a caregiver with 23 + years experience predominantly caring for clients w/quadriplegia, but I also have experience with elder care and dementia. Most recently I have been working with a variety of clients as a caregiver through a service in my local area. I am honest, smart, hardworking and empathetic. I enjoy helping others. Caregiving offers a unique opportunity to continually take stock of what's truly important in life. For those with cognitive impairment it's often helpful & fun to participate in activities such as simple puzzles, coloring, birdwatching, building with Legos, or going for a walk & getting some fresh air outside. I'm also proud of making adventures & dreams come true for clients with limited mobility or other care needs. One such achievement included training a service dog (Great Dane) for a quadriplegic client, which involved extensive protection work + showing (& placing) in both the obedience and confirmation ring. Another time we drove the Baja together (with a full staff) & went big game fishing in Mexico. I treasure the memory of those adventures, but I also find satisfaction helping with the more mundane activities of daily living. I enjoy cooking, good company & conversation.
