About Amelia

I became a caregiver because I love helping people and I love making a difference in other people's lives. Not only that but the people I care for help me be a better person, impact my life, and are blessings in my life. I love helping others who can't do normal daily things in their life because if I was in that situation I would also want someone to help me. What I truly enjoy about caregiving is me being able to spend time with someone and getting to know them and how they are. I really enjoy knowing I can impact their lives by just helping them do simple tasks and seeing their face when they are truly thankful I'm around. A personal achievement of mine is to graduate as a RN nurse and help impact more people's lives. Something about myself is that I am a person who truly cares for others I go to the ends of the earth for others. I always give 110% to being a caregiver and never give up. I find the best in others and I'm a very hospitable person. That I know is my true talent in life is being hospitable, caring, and going over and beyond expectation.

Also helped them get ready for the day or get ready for bed. Helped them stay healthy and helped them get better at walking or doing things on their own. Take care of individuals in their own homes. Duties included doing house chores such as laundry, cooking, cleaning, taking care of pets, organizing etc. Also I drove residents to wherever they needed such as post office, weddings, funerals, doctor appointments, grocery stores and anywhere else they needed or even wanted to go. I also did vitals and made sure they got their medication and did acue checks for diabetics and if they had low blood sugar I helped get it up and the opposite. I also gave them showers and sometimes if they couldn't get in the shower or was too sick I would do bed baths. I also transferred them from bed to wheelchair, car, couch etc. I kept a journal of their day.
