I think what makes me a great caregiver is, that not only do I love helping people to get their daily activities done, but I have a lot of personal experience caregiving. When I first got into caregiving I was taking care of a family member who was a paraplegic, and a home health nurse came one day and told me how good of a job and how fast I was at catching on to certain things, and that I should really look into nursing and that is exactly what I did. What I enjoy most about caregiving, is that it's never a dull day, and I can go home feeling good about myself that I had actually accomplished somethin g good for the day. My Personal Achievement that I am proud of, from being a caregiver is that I finished getting licensed in the state of Washington, and was pregnant at the time I was doing it and working a full-time job with lots of overtime I would get at least 60 hours a week. ... more
