About Samantha

Hello! My name is Sam. I would consider myself to be an easy going yet big personality person who knows when there's a time to be silly and a time to be professional. I have been caregiving since 2016. I worked for a facility during those years, caring up to 50 people a day. I was both a PCA and a Med Tech during that time, working closely with hospice nurses, regional nurses, families, and medical providers. I have my nurse delegation core and diabetes certifications so I can legally perform tasks as delegated by an RN. I would say that my most proud achievement in my time as a caregiver was working through the pandemic. Working upwards of 100 hours a week due to low staffing, every day was a challenge, and the small team that we did have remaining was such a strong bond. Personally, I learned a lot about people, health care and catastrophe in that time. Currently, I work with a private agency, and am looking to use CareLinx as another part time prospect. My love and compassion for people stems from the core of my heart, being a mother. I make sure job duties are fulfilled to the fullest, keep organized and tidy and am compassionate with all of my clients. I would love to meet with you and talk about your care needs.

I started of in the caregiving field with taking care of my grandfather. In the process I got to learn a lot and I did enjoy doing it. I treat every client like my own family with love and compassion. Every client had different needs, so I get to understand the client first and foremost. I mostly enjoy the learning process in caregiving, no matter how long one has been a caregiver, we get to learn new things every time. I once had a client who had dementia (late stage), who did not want to go to bed (it was late at night). One thing that the client enjoyed was watching animal documentaries . I showed the client pictures of different animals that I had taken when I went to Kenya and the client calmed down and I was able to redirect the client to bed. My patience with the client helped me assure the client that I was on her side. This scenario really made me proud of the caregiver that I'm becoming. I love what I do.

I am compassionate, patient, hardworking, caring and loving experienced caregiver. When I am working with my patient I'll make sure that I can give them the best care that they need and make them happy while working with them. I'm proud to be a CNA because caring and helping other people makes me feel happy and fulfilled especially when I see smile on patients faces under my care.
