I do live in Seattle, and I hold three Washington State healthcare credentials: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), and Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist. I have 20 years of experience caring for seniors and adults at home, in adult family homes, nursing facilities, hospice, and hospitals, with specialty training in Dementia, Mental Health, and Nurse Delegation. I am patient, calm, and detail-oriented, with strong skills in medication management, personal care, and fall prevention. I assess clients' homes for safety and help them get equipment like walkers, grab bars, hospital beds, commodes, and shower chairs so they can stay active and independent. I became a caregiver because everyone deserves dignity and kindness. What I enjoy most is helping clients feel safe and understood and giving families peace of mind. I'm proud of founding my own business, Hope Health Senior Care, in 2016, where I serve as Care Manager while still providing hands-on care. I have also been contracting with CareLinx as a caregiver since December 2016, 10 years.

What makes you a great caregiver? I genuinely care about other people regardless differences and challenging characteristics; I don’t judge people and give them their privacy as well as take care of them with the best care and to their liking and comfort needs. I make sure things are done right and don’t take shortcuts, I’m honest, loyal, and compassionate towards other people. Why did you become a caregiver? I became a caregiver because I realized I listened to peoples needs and wanted to help improve the quality of their lives. I’m good at taking orders and encouraging people to do their best, to bring the best in them out. What do you like about being a caregiver? I enjoy when someone is content with the quality care I provide them. I enjoy taking people’s health into my hands and being successful, by keeping them at their optimal health. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? I am proud to have become a well-informed healthcare professional that knows how to care for any individual with any kind of condition due to all my experience and skills obtained from training.
