I supervise between one to ten nannies, providing childcare to military families that are in marriage counseling. Myself and my crew entertain children between the ages of one month to 12 years old providing activities to help them learn and have fun. I enjoy creating a clean safe environment where children can come learn and play and parents can be at ease. I deal with children who sometimes have special needs who may be artistic have learning disabilities. I really enjoy this job because I love working with children and I feel like it allows me to give back to military families for the service they provide for this country.

My rates are negotiable, I like to be flexible to hopefully suit the needs of everyone. I have been a CNA for 20 years with 5 years experience on a dementia - alzheimers unit. What makes me a great caregiver is my patience and understanding. I am a very compassionate type person and love to get to know the patient as well as the family. I became attracted on becoming a caregiver when I learned how broad of a spectrum I could work in. There is so much to learn and plenty of room for advancement. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is making that one particular patient smile that never does. What a great accomplishment I feel this is. Brings me such joy to be able to bring a little sunshine to the patients life. My biggest personal achievement that I am very proud of is raising my 2 wonderful boys on my own with only my mothers help at times. They have both become very productive in their lives and love to return the favors to mom.

The world exists upon the kindness showed by others, and that this kindness keeps alive the souls of those needing care. What I like about being a caregiver is that, for clients who cannot do many of the things they used to do, like running around and getting things done to take care of their families--life now begins anew based purely upon things that matter now today-- the worth, the thoughts, and the amount of attention that is paid toward them. This is a time of really focusing only on the present moment, and it takes a certain degree of concentration even to do that, sometimes. They are now the person who need this the most. My greatest personal achievements are when clients, who experience a decrease in function, and sometimes can hardly move or talk, are the most appreciative for my attentiveness to understand them. The story of the Good Samaritan identifies a good neighbor as one who shows kindness, and the rewards write upon the heart and soul. Caregivers are to the aging population a group who recognize that aches and pains are not going to go away. What some call a disadvantage, or disability serve, in many ways, to be an advantage because we shift our focus and attention toward what is really important in life-- people and how they are treated. I am only one of many like-minded caregivers who believe that a moment of clarity with loved ones--paying attention to the good in the moment--is the same as finding diamonds in your own backyard.
