I know how to empathize in situations where I need to be empathetic. Patience and flexiblity is a must I get it, there are times when you might need someone to show up unannounced at any given time. I understand things happen, so just give me a call make sure I'm close by. I'm super attentive and respond to situations in a timely manner. I always put the needs of my senior first and I am able to take charge when necessary. I'm known for being a good listener but an excellent communicator. I can be creative at times making each day a little different, an overall good time. I am also committed and dependable and supportive. On & off the clock you'll come to realize that I am a trustworthy person & that I am able to maintain confidentiality in it's whole intergirty. To me a sense of humor is acceptable to anyone, it brings the magic to the room & enlightenment shines right through, so yes I see myself as a humorous person at times. Every day I am capable of being emotionally tough to not only protect, but to instruct the patient on the things that need to be done, showing a sense of Independence which shows cooperation. I should be physically fit and have a strong constitution and I will be always available able to perform light housekeeping duties at all times. Greetings! I fell in love with caregiving while attending travel school, and working for an elderly man in his home. My passion for caregiving comes from growing up in a large family and always having people around me of all ages. I adored my grandparents, and had the pleasure of caring for all of my older siblings children before having 2 of my own. When I lost my grandparents, I decided that I wanted to spend my time around seniors, helping them to remain in their homes as long as possible. It has been a 35 year career for me, and I enjoy it more every day! The personalities of my clients are so varied and so valuable, and the knowledge and humor I have witnessed has been truly priceless. I hope I can somehow give back as much as I have been given.
