I love the idea of caring for people, by showing compassion and understanding of what the family and the client are going through. For me caregiving is more than just taking care of someone, its about letting that person feel respected. I became a caregiver because I wanted to improve the quality of what caregiving by having a bright smile and an enthusiastic state of mind. Some people may just see caregiving as just a job and treat it as such and not realize that they are neglecting the emotional and mental needs of the client. My favorite thing about being a caregiver is making my clients smile, seeing a smile on their faces and the faces of the families make me strongly believe that I am doing my job.
