I became a caregiver after a family friend asked me to become a caretaker for her brother in 2015. That was a major blessing that has taken me on a different path in life. I worked with him for two years until he was moved to an adult family home, then I worked at an assisted living facility, and am now working as a home care aide with an agency. I enjoy working with people and being of help to others. I have worked with clients from all age groups but I particularly enjoy working with the older population because of their life experiences and wealth of wisdom. I recently completed my pre-requisites for the nursing program at Bellevue College. My goal is to become a nurse so that I can help people to a greater degree.

Hi! My name is Yang Shi and I am from mainland China, I have lived here for 29 years. I had a restaurant business for more than 20 years in Arkansas. Our restaurant got "Top 100 Chinese's Restsurant" award in 2009. I sold the business and property in 2015 and moved to Seattle to be closer to my daughter while she goes to college at the University of Washington. I returned to China last year to take care my parents for several months before I started to work at the Fred Meyer. I accompanied my parents reading, writing, and talking, reminding them to take medicine, and prepared them meals. That was a very sweet and unforgettable time. After moving to Seattle I worked at the Norse Home in Greenwood serving the elderly community. I also spent time working as a caregiver for an older woman with dementia for several months; I prepared her meals and assisted her to the bathroom and shower and helped her keep her exercise and medicine schedule and maintained the housework. I know how to take care of older people , according to my working and living experience . I love people , love animals, love trees, plants and nature. I understand how important honesty and love is in my life. I am very confident I will do a good job at being a caregiver.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I have 6 years experience doing In Home Health Care through Catholic Community Services / Independent Living Program. After taking time off from this career path I have returned to this field and have graduated from the Nursing Assistant Training Institute to receive my CNA and am currently employed with Maxim Health Services. I'm very patient and caring by nature and that translates to my care for others. I always remind myself to be aware of what it would be like to the person in need and how I would like to be treated and respected. One of my personal joys and satisfaction is having the human connection with the work I do.

Hi I'm Ateka, I've been a caregiver for 7yrs. Working as a caregiver is very fulfilling as I enjoy seeing my clients happy and healthy. I believe that you should always take care of those who can't help themselves. In my country of Ethiopia I took care of senior citizens. We believe that the elderly should never suffer nor go into Nursing Homes to be alone. My hope is one day all people who need assistance will be able to get the quality care they need and deserve.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant with seven years of experience, I enjoy getting to know people and contributing to their lives in a positive way. I do not shy away from working with various health issues. Most importantly, I want clients and their families to feel that they have received their money's worth when I have finished for the day. I reside in Seattle and am seeking local clientele. References from current and former clients are available upon request.
Before I thought that I was a really patient person because I use to love to take care of my love ones, friends, neighbors, etc even when they're show bad actitudes or behaviors or situations that you really need to understand them and love them like that and offer them your help. But in the middle of my life I realized that is not just patient is also compassion, that's all we need to take care with love and I think this is the most important thing for being a great caregiver . When I discovered that ,I deside to become a caregiver ,and I love to be part of all of wonderful ladies, and gentlemen life's that I have been working with. I feel so blessed to help and love to get all the knowledge, wise, kindness, etc from them. I just move in from California and I still feel heartbreaking from my clients that I left back there but I have been in touch with all of them and that make me feel better,so I have a lot references from all my clients and the agencies that I've been working with 😊
I am a people person and love taking care of people. At the end of the day, it makes me feel good to know I helped someone else. I tend to go above and beyond for others, it comes natural for me. Going through the training to become certified has been a personal achievement, I was nervous at first, thought it would take forever. When I finished the training and became certified I felt great, because I could continue taking care of others.
Hello, my name is Elisa My caregiving started in 1995 , as my Mother became ill and I knew she would want a high level of in home care that I would personally be able to provide. As her illness became more extreme, it was important to me that she be able to stay in her home were she would be more comfortable. A few time a week turned into every day, then several hours a day. My Mothers wishes to be at home in her time of need was fulfilled . And it was a blessing and a honor to be there for her. I found myself wanting to give other families the same opportunity my Mother was given. I continued working closely with other families and also the IHSS of King Co. from 1995 till 2001.Then in California in Contra Costa Co. From 2002 - 2009 then I returned back to Washington State where I have continued my work with families. I am available to start giving the best care to your loved ones or yourself and give the opportunity to remain safely in your home. I am currently approved, on the Home Health Care Registry . Please feel free to see a full work history upon request. References can be provided upon request.
