I am liable respectful and easy to work with i believe i was raised to show dignity to everyone because that's how i would want to be treated if i was in your position. i got attracted to being a caregiver because i want help make a difference in people's lives even if that is being a companion and doing house work i love helping those that are unable to do those little things that matter. It brings joy to my heart to see the client is comfortable and at ease that i am caring for the client and not conducting bad energy or discomfort to my clients care. such as the hoyer lift. I have helped a handful of clients and each time the client has called me back for care. i feel like i learn something new everyday and my personal achievement that i am proud of is being in this field of business.
I've been care giving since I was about 8 years old. I helped my Mother care for my grand parents until they passed and I continued to take care of elderly family and friends. Once I began my adult years I would always find myself caring for a next door neighbor. I have been in the medical field for over 25 years full time. I have continued to provide care and add different experiences to my skills. For example I was a dialysis technician for 11 years and have continued to go with my best friend to her dialysis treatments after leaving the field. I have been a sleep technician for 17 years where i work a 7pm - 7am shift three nights a week so I would be good for a weekend or holiday caregiver over night. So with my experience and working mostly in the hospital no job is to big for me I have experience in every area with dialysis I've dealt with balancing diets and fluids. I am a where of symptoms when someone Blood pressure is too high or low. I have use CPR very often. With being a Sleep technician I am familiar COPD C pap machines and sicknesses that come from having sleep disorder. And with my full schedule I still find time to care for and help out older friends I have met over the years. So what make me a good care giver is that I do it naturally. I help because it makes me feel good and its a good thing to put out help for others. I also donate my time to feed the homeless when ever I can.
I am passionate about care giving as a career and I love the job.I derive my joy whenever I perform my best and leave a smile in one of my clients .I cherish to see either the elderly or the physically challenge appreciating my support and feel alot of satisfaction at the end of the day I endeavor always to do my best and never wait to be reminded of my responsibilities and tasks I am proactive and like to upgrade myself always I am both HHA and CNA Washington state certified and hope to pursue further my career and acquire a degree in nursing in future

I became a caregiver because I have a passion for putting others first, and I enjoy helping the disabled. There are a numerous of things I enjoy about being a caregiver. One of those things is, helping others gives me a sense of meaning and pride. I am proud of maintaining a stable and efficient career in the medical field for twenty-two years. I am the oldest of three therefore, looking and caring after others comes natural to me. I am a very responsible, trustworthy, and organized person. When caring for other residents, I care for them as if they were my own relatives. Above all of the following, I love my job.
My father suffered a Massive stroke, with Brain hemorrhage in 1993. We were told he only had 2 hours to live.. Three months later we were able to bring him home from the rehab center. I was so impressed with the care he received at the hospital, and then at the rehab center, I decided to become a CNA. 2. I enjoy the interactions that I have with my residents, and their family members. I like knowing that I have made a difference in their lives.. 3. I was awarded employee of the month twice in a 5 month period.. And just recently I was able to convince one of my residents who wanted to leave AMA, that it would be better for him if he stayed and got the help and rehab that his doctor felt was necessary for him.. 4. I have been a CNA for 22 years.. In that time I have been able to work in all area's of care. I have worked Long Term Care, Short Stay Care, Memory Care, Transitional Care, Medicare/Medicade, Home Health Care, and Hospice Care.. I am trained in the proper use of all Lifts, Transfers, and use of Gait Belt.. I know how to properly document ADL's, I&O's, Meal Monitors, Showers, and Weights.. I believe in being a team player, in asking for help when needed, I believe the resident always comes first, and their safety is of importance.
