About Angela

Hello! My name is Angela. I am an aspiring nurse and studied my pre-nursing courses at the University of Washington and South Puget Sound Community College. Currently, I am working as a Caregiver at an Alzheimer's & Dementia Special Care Center. I have experience with transferring, toileting, bathing, feeding, cueing, and other skills/ADL's. I am wanting to get experience in home care because I have yet to do so, and I would love to broaden my experiences. I have a passion for helping those in need, and love what I do! My favorite part of being a caregiver is developing close relationships with the people I'm assisting. I love getting to know each individual and getting to support them in any way I can. I have been told I'm hardworking, kind, calm, patient, and dependable. I have experience assisting people with a wide range of needs and medical conditions. I'm currently in school (pre-nursing), and I'm looking for part-time caregiving work. Send me a message if you'd like to talk more!

I am a licensed CNA with over 17 year's experience as both an hourly and an in-home 24 hour caregiver. I have many year's experience in other related healthcare fields as well and am also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I have Nurse Delegation certification, BLS/HCP CPR and First Aid cards, as well as Mental Health certification. The last 2 1/2 years I've worked with predominantly one client providing care for all the activities of daily living (including transportation) and companionship as well as acting as a healthcare advocate. I've also spent 4 years with an Alzheimer's client providing in home care including physical therapy assistance and hospice. I have provided care for clients with multiple health concerns including hypertension, stenosis, heart disease, depression, paralysis, digestive disorders, and cancer. I also worked during my training in a nursing home. As a side note, I have learned tremendously for 5 years the many aspects of case management acting as a POA and Healthcare Representative/Advocate/Case Manager for a family member and other clients so am able to provide those kind of services as well if needed. I previously worked as a Veterinary Technician for 16 years and in a prior position provided at home medical care for my client's pet as well. I can also provide Clerical Support as in prior positions I reviewed/maintained medical and other records, facility admission/release forms and contracts, mental health assessments, legal documents, and auto and homeowner's insurance policies. Also handled all phone/mail communications and appointments. Thank you so much for your time in reviewing my profile and I look forward to seeing how I might help with your caregiving needs. R. Siegel, CNA, LVT Please note that my hourly rate varies depending on the position. Normally I have a 4 hour minimum for short shifts, but can sometimes agree to 3 hours depending on location.
