Hi! My name is Katherine, but you can call me Kat or Katie if you prefer! I've been doing caregiving/ hospice care for more than 5 years. I love being able to provide an atmosphere of hospitality and becoming close with the people I take care of. I started doing this profession when my sister was dying of cancer, I took care of her every day during her final days. What I loved about doing that, is feeling needed. She relied on me for everything, to be her comfort, to wash her hair, to make her laugh and smile. From sharing childhood memories and jokes, I knew this is what I wanted to do with my life after she passed and I did! I am so glad you have chosen me to care for yourself or a loved one. I promise to always make them feel special and meet every expectation they need.

I am compassionate and patient, and a care-oriented person, as I have a high level of empathy and training as a Psychologist from Venezuela, I was trained to care for the elderly. I love to support other people to feel better and they have a more functional life.

I'm very much a people person & highly empathetic. I knew I wanted to be a caretaker/Nurse since high school working as a volunteer in local hospital. I come from a family of caretakers so it's in my genetics. I've done many aspects of caregiving from rooming patients in local clinic to skilled unit in nursing facility & Alzheimer's unit. I love geriatric care due to the respect I have for the elderly. They've earned it for surviving through hardships I've only read about & learned in history class, which brings me to the fact that they have the best stories to tell if able to. I take pride in my care & the bigger the challenge it is with not so happy clients/patients I manage to get them to open up a bit & do my best to turn there frown upside down raising there spirits up. I welcome new challenges & learning about something new especially if it helps my care towards my patient. Dementia/Alzheimer's care is my specialty.

I became a CNA in 2011. I had a son with CP and that led me to being a caregiver. I feel it's a very rewarding job and I enjoy working and helping people with there day to day living.

Hello, my name is Krisie. I currently work as a reporter, but I am really missing taking care of people. Prior to reporting, I worked as a CNA and a Home Health Aide for a majority of my life. I have worked in long-term care and assisted living and have administered prescribed medications. I am a mother of five children - one a senior in high school down to second grade. I adapt well in various environments and to differing needs. I learn quickly and am eager to get to know the person I am assisting and what helps them to feel cared for. I am particularly empathetic to those struggling in their, perhaps new, limitations . I am more likely to learn FROM those I care for than anything else. It is a gift to try and make daily life more manageable and enjoyable for another human being.

My passion for working with the elderly started when I was in middle school, volunteering at my local nursing home. I received a letter of commendation from former Senator Alice Clausing for my volunteer work. After high school I obtained my CNA license. I'm a very confident and experienced caregiver.
