I became a caregiver was I was 19yrs old. I want to help people, my grandpa was sick with cancer. I seen all the care that he got from caregivers that came in to help him and I wanted to do that. The most I like about being a caregiver is the faces on people that I help. The little things, the touch to let someone know that you are there, fixing of the pillow so it is tuck under the head, eye contact to let them know you are listening, hold the hand when someone is having a bad day, sit by the bedside until they fall asleep,the interaction that I get from someone, the smile on someone's face. I'm 39yrs old married for 5yrs have two girls and one step-daughter. Grew up in San Diego Ca. moved up here when I was in high school, been here ever since. My father was in the navy station in the Philippines when me met my mother. Moved back to the states when I was two, moved around from difference bases. At the age of five he got station in San Diego where I lived until I moved up here. This is where my dad's side of the family is from.
