My name is Alisa Ertel. I live in Milwaukee, am 24 years old and a student at MATC. I am currently enrolled in the nursing program. I have about a year and a half of caregiver experience. I am a CNA/CPR certified. I love helping others and get a very rewarding feeling from being a caregiver and making a difference in peoples lives. I feel caregiving is a good fit for me because I am going into the health field but need flexible hours that fit with my school schedule. One personal achievement I am proud of is being able to work and attend school while still overcoming my own health issues. I have Lupus and have had times in the past where I once needed help with ADLs, transportation and other tasks. Having someone there who is patient, caring, and helpful makes such a difference in peoples lives and I feel I can bring those qualities to someone else's life. I am fun, outgoing, motivated, and patient. I feel I would be a great fit for someone in need of assistance.
