I first learned about caregiving from my high school art teacher. He told me about the rewarding work that he did for Agape of Appleton, Inc when he was younger, and suggested that I would be a great fit. I decided to apply, and ended up working for Agape until moving away for college. At Agape, I worked in a CBRF with individuals with a variety of disabilities. Many of the individuals had autism spectrum disorder, and some were completely nonverbal. Despite this communication barrier, and I worked to provide the best care to everyone. I believe my patience, compassion, and dependability make me a great caregiver.
