Hello all! :) My name is Hope Larson, and I am 22 years old, born and raised in Weston, WI with a loving family of 6! A little fun fact to share... both of my parents are deaf, making our family fluent in American Sign Language. I have been a CNA with the same company for almost 6 years now, and absolutely love it! I primarily work on the dementia units, but also have experience working long-term Care, rehab, and the vent units. I am more than halfway done with nursing school, and am on track to receive my LPN license this month, upon passing my boards. I was actually providing in-home care for one of my nursing instructor's parents, whom happened to have progressing dementia, up until recently due to passing away. After this experience, I realized that I have a love for private care - being able to focus all of my time one patient and truly get to know their personality, their likes and dislikes, and learn their history and hear their stories without the time rush we have when in a facility. It truly makes a difference in a person's overall health when they're getting that uninterrupted holistic care. I have such a passion for caring for others and simply making people smile; life's just too short not to!
