Hello all! :) My name is Hope Larson, and I am 22 years old, born and raised in Weston, WI with a loving family of 6! A little fun fact to share... both of my parents are deaf, making our family fluent in American Sign Language. I have been a CNA with the same company for almost 6 years now, and absolutely love it! I primarily work on the dementia units, but also have experience working long-term Care, rehab, and the vent units. I am more than halfway done with nursing school, and am on track to receive my LPN license this month, upon passing my boards. I was actually providing in-home care for one of my nursing instructor's parents, whom happened to have progressing dementia, up until recently due to passing away. After this experience, I realized that I have a love for private care - being able to focus all of my time one patient and truly get to know their personality, their likes and dislikes, and learn their history and hear their stories without the time rush we have when in a facility. It truly makes a difference in a person's overall health when they're getting that uninterrupted holistic care. I have such a passion for caring for others and simply making people smile; life's just too short not to! I'm an easy going person who gets along with all personalities. I truly enjoy being a caregiver especially when it is 1:1 and you get to give the individual your full attention. I became a CNA in 2010 and worked as one until 2016 when I became a Registered Nurse. I am continuing with prn nursing along with caregiving. The thing I enjoy most about providing care to others is the fact that I am able to help families who may be struggling. I value promoting quality of life to those I assist. I pride myself in the care I provide. I know that any 'patient' of mine is going to receive respect, support, assistance, proper hygiene , safety precautions, guidance and education, great communication, attention to details/changes, medication safety, safe transportation and so much more. I am CPR certified. I am reliable, hard working, caring and can be flexible.
