About Whitney

Although I have not directly worked in the medical or healthcare fields, I am very familiar with some things. My mom is a Stroke survivor and has vascular issues in her legs and feet. I also used to help out her friend who was disabled from a Stroke and had no one to help her. I am passionate, caring, patient, kind and honest. I used wonder what it would be like to get to be a caregiver. My mom has had a few helpers who weren't so great and it would drive me crazy that I could not get paid for all the assistance I was providing. So my experience is definitely personal experiences I am not taught by books on giving care, I was self taught. My proudest achievement would have to be finally leaving the nest and creating a new life for myself and my daughter and of course achieving my degree. There was one point in time where I did not believe I would ever get to complete a college degree. Overall, it would be great to give care to people who are stuck in a hard place with no family who can come in and be their savior. Everyone needs someone and may need some help and we should be giving more help to people who truly cannot do much for their self anymore, life is tough enough as it is.
