I became a caregiver after learning about an elderly couple that needed someone to help them out. After I began providing care for them, it didn't take long for me to get attached to them, and this job became the only one so far that I could actually say I loved, and it didn't feel like work to me. I feel as if I owe my time and energy and companionship to elderly individuals, because they are experiencing a difficult part of life, and they are all too often neglected or forgotten by their families. My aim is to provide them with the help and care that they need and deserve, as well as providing a positive influence on their lives.
