I started out with volunteering at at a convolesent home when I was 12 years old and then I became a CNA in my 20's. I've been working with the elderly now for over 20 years,and with dementia residents for the past 8 years.I'm very compassionate and I take my job very seriously.They become my family away from home.I've just always adored the elderly.I'm CPR and first aid certified and I'm a licensed med aide in the state of VA.After raising 3 children as a single mother I went back to cosmetology school to accomplish what I didn't at a younger age due to becoming a mother,so after my youngest child graduated HS I went back and I got the highest GPA at state boards that anyone has gotten at that school at that time ???? but the love that I have as a caregiver keeps me in this field
