I am a very loving, caring, and patient Caregiver. I have cared for all different types of patients, with different physical and mental backgrounds. I am attracted being a Caregiver, because it comes naturally to me. What I enjoy most about being a Caregiver is helping patients in any way they need, taking care of them, and being there for them. Bed Bathing, Grooming, Denture Care, Hearing Aid, Emptying Catherter & measuring urine, Blood pressure with machine and kept track, Stayed the night with him in hospital and cared for him there as well and called nurse when needed, flipped with help every 2hrs to prevent bed sores, used mouth suction, and more. I decided when he passed that I wanted to care for others the way I cared for him, and that is what lead me to be a Caregiver. I am not a CNA but would love to become one. I have been a stay at home mom for the most part of 12 years and cared for my children while my husband served in the Navy. I worked here and there when I could. Hello! What makes me a great caregiver is the love I have for always helping people. As a child, I used to help my grandmother out with cooking, cleaning, reminding her of her medications, combing her hair, bathing her, and assisting her at doctors appointments etc.... As I grew older, I started to love how I made the elderly feel, and it created a soft spot in my heart. So, as a adult even if I may get treated wrong, I always find it hard for me to treat someone wrong. I feel like I will be blessed for the good I've done for people.

I am 43 years old, I have been working in the medical fields since I was a Junior in High School. I have worked in Hospitals to nursing homes, to Home Health, and living with clients 7 days on 7 days off. I have worked with all kinds of patients from people having Aids, COPD, mentally disabled, you name it. My favorite was me caretaker of two mentally disabled sisters, they were and still are like family to me. I guess I find myself more attached to people with special needs because I have a older brother whom is mentally challenge. Elderly people I am very fond of as well. I have a big heart and very compassionate. My stepfather when he was alive out of us five siblings he used to say I was his favorite because I was the one whom has the big heart and always takes care of everyone. Sometimes I find that very rewarding because the way I see it if I give and I take care of people that needs to be helped I know that God will bless me than what he already has. My stepfather died of a massive heart attack and My father died this past year 2019 of COPD one week before I was supposed to go home to Indiana to tell him I love him and hold him in my arms. I did home health for about six clients, I got very attached to them as well. It hurts me very much when you get attached to your clients or patients and they pass away. I am sorry I can go on and on talking about myself but I will leave the rest up to questions you might have for me.

I am a happy, caring, Christian woman. I became CNA and worked in a nursing home in AL. Most of my patients required full care, due to disability, dementia, age related problems. I really wanted to have a job/career that helped people. I enjoy taking care of people, but I enjoy making them smile more. My personal achievement will be to raise my children to be good, honest, independent, hard working Christian adults. I stopped working and was a stay @ home mom for years. My kids are much older, and I currently sit for a local family as needed. Although I love sitting for this family I really need consistent employment.
