My name is Agalean and I'm a professional caregiver. I started out at 15 unprofessional taking care of my grandmother and I enjoyed until the end. As I got older and started working other jobs I didn't like them I did only for money so I decided to step out in faith and went from making 14.00 a hr to working 10.00 a hr being a care giver and just like that the feeling of taking care of my own grandmother was back and I love it so now I want to start doing this on my own making my own salary and doing what I love.

Why i became a caregiver l enjoy working with elders and because it eas no one in my family that knew how it take care of my grandfather we had to ask people keep from putting him into a home and i started to enjoy working with elderly i know one day one of my family will need that help and like like to help people the best way that i can.and im a hard worker i will give it the best that i can to help people in need of care.

Im a great caregiver because one I'm a people person and 2 I love helping people. I knew my calling for becoming a caregiver when I was about 12 yes I was young but i knew it. All I ever wanted to do was help people. My grandmother told me that I was going to make her proud and others as well because i had a passion for helping people of all kind. My grandmother had a stroke and she wasn't able to use her right side so I begged my mom to please let me live with my grandmother because she's going to need help and that she want be able to fully do whatever she needs to do because she can only use her left hand.

Before getting my CNA certification in October of 2016, I cared for several family members in high school that had mental disorders, a stroke, and dementia. After receiving my CNA certification I went straight to work. I have worked home health, in a hospital, and hospice care. I am very passionate about caring for others; I truly believe that it is my "calling." I do not see being a CNA as a job, but as an opportunity to be there for someone during their time of need.
