Greetings: I've had a passion for helping others since a small child. This led me to obtain my CNA certification in 2021 while I complete by Bachelors of Science in Biology. I've completed a program with the UAB's School of Medicine to further gain insight into the medical field. I hope to someday become a doctor specializing in Geriatrics.

Growing up, I volunteered in nursing homes because my mom encouraged me to get involved with the community. Once I started, I continued through college. I have prior experience as a caregiver in college with a private company which was family owned. I enjoyed reading to patients, walking with them and assisting patients at home because I had previously been involved in my local community. I have prepared meals, medicines and rides to doctor appointments. Being an assistant to those who are unable to totally care for themselves has been a passion of mine for a long time. I am very attentive to details, compassionate, and interactive.

Love to be around seniors, just listening to them. I had the opportunity to care for a 87 year old for 6 years. Saw the need to help and did. Enjoy getting the seniors to and from their doctors appointments. I have been doing this for the last few years.

Hello, I'm Raphaela I've been in and out of the caregiving field roughly around 4/5 years. Growing up I've had several family members that have worked in assistance homes or nursing homes. Since a child I've always volunteered to help out at nursing homes. Wether it was bedside assistance or helping with activities and making sure they went to bed with a smile on their face. I'm currently in my senior year of college, majoring in biology. I have future plans of becoming a CNA and even more to be sure that I'll be able to continue to care and assist with the elderly. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to learn, connect and love on my clients. I still have connections with previous clients from years ago! Being that I'm such a loving and caring CG/PCA, I tend to connect with my patients as if I'm one of their own. I also have experience in the pharmacy, I was a pharmacy technician with Walgreens back in 2021-2022. Older people may take longer to perform daily tasks, and depending on any cognitive diagnosis, may require a different level or type of communication. Patience is key to providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere. - I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. - Being able to help others only a daily basis - Purchasing my first home at 25.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I've always had open arms to people who can't do for themselves. What started my journey back in 2016 my grandmother got really sick and was on her way to transitioning. Between those times I wouldn't leave my grandmother side. She was in hospice and I was so welcome to the nurse to learn everything that I needed to learn in order to take care of my grandmother. Since then I took in consideration to help other people and their families. It's a saddening experience but it's a blessing to be able to help others in need.

I enjoy helping seniors with their needs, while still letting them have their independence. I have helped with senior care on a personal level, as well as on a business level. I am the mother to two beautiful daughters. My oldest is 31 & is an educator, & my youngest is 16 & in high school. I also have a handsome 3 yr. old grandson. My children are the joys of my life, & my greatest supporters as well as continuing to motivate me. I love what I do, & I hope I will be able to care for you & yours.

Hello. I'm Anissa. I love helping others. I started caregiving in college and have sporadically did it ever since. I find joy in knowing that I may have brighten someone's day or made their life a little easier.

I became interested in care giving as a child / teen while caring for my grandmother, a survivor of 3 heart attacks and 3 strokes. I am certified in CPR/AED/ First Aid. I have a BA degree in psychology and a master's degree in social work and enjoy working with seniors and those with chronic health conditions.

My mother currently takes care of her mentally and physically impaired brother whom I have had the pleasure of taking care of when she has to work or needs a vacation. I have prepared meals and giving him his meds on schedule and I have transported him to his doctor's appointments.

I am an opinion minded, compassionate, loving individual. I have a big heart and deeply enjoy being around the elderly. I was a caregiver to my grandmother who suffered from dementia. I assisted her in simple daily tasks such as: oral care, dressing/bathing, and eating. I created visual schedules and had a book to keep track of appointments. I have volunteered in the nursing home for a few years. I like to think of myself as a companion as well.
