Hello! My name is Jeneava, and I can't wait to meet you! I'm a natural caregiver, take that how you like, as I mean it in every sense of the word. I love to cook, and that means I cook-cook. No frozen dinners, and when I say "cook" I don't mean spaghetti and mac n cheese, although when I DO make these dishes, one is sure to remember! I love working with people. It is my belief that the true currency in today's world is a person's memories and their time. I truly enjoy spending quality time with people, and making the very most out of each new memory. Hi! My name is Jennifer. I have lived here in Havasu for 19 years and have 3 kids ages 18, 14, & 9. I am currently a Licensed Esthetician and own my own business here in Lake Havasu City. Before starting my business 2 years ago, I was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 2 years in a local skilled nursing facility. I still hold my certification and absolutely love working with seniors. I cared for and specialized in residents with dementia and mostly worked in the dementia unit of the facility I was in. I treat all my residents with the same love and care that I would my own family. I love to help people, I feel I was born to do so, I want to be the person for you to help with your mother, father, brother,sister, or even child. I love to inspire the person in need to be ok with how they are or if possible get them to do small things on their own again. What I enjoy most about being a caregivers is when my client feels comfortable with me and their family as well, I once had a client who had a stroke, she hadn't left her bed in years before I started caring for her, a few months of caring for her and she was walking through her home and even checking her own mail box again. Im super proud of her for accomplishing such a large step. Things like that inspire me to keep going and helping those in need.

I became a caregiver as a stepping stone to becoming a nurse. I thought that it would provide me some insight into whether or not I would enjoy nursing, and now I love my job. I love helping people. I am very compassionate and patient. I have a passion for the elderly and think they should be treated with dignity and respect. I love to listen to stories of days gone by and learn from their experience. Not only do I feel I can enrich these peoples lives, I feel I am enriched as well. I initially went int the field of Medical Assisting in order to make a difference in the lives of our older population. As a child of seven I started doing volunteer work with my grandmother at nursing homes. This has continued throughout my lifetime. As a young mother I took my babies to visit the patient/residents of nursing homes that did not get visitors. While I was earning my degree I worked at an assisted living at night. I especially enjoyed being in the dementia unit. After I completed my degree I moved to Lincoln City to be near my mother who is not in good health. She has a caregiver and I am here as her daughter. I love being able to help people. I always have. We all need help sometimes. As we get older sometimes we need more help then before.
