I grew up in a family of healthcare workers. After my Father-in-law got diagnosed with terminal cancer I decided to quit my job and stay home to help take care of him while he was on hospice. I then went to school and got my certificate for Medical Assisting and Medical Terminology. I have several years experience working in the medical field with people in many different stages in life. I have worked with those that needed minimal assistance such as laundry, shopping, cooking and cleaning, and I have also work with families that have loved ones that are in the last stages of life and are home on hospice care and require more assistance. Currently I work part time at a veterinary hospital as a vet technician and I work at a non profit as a mental health advocate. Im a very friendly, enthusiastic, empathetic and giving person, I love to help others. My passion for caregiving started on my first job in Rossmoor as a wait staff where I found myself many times helping the elders to cut their food and sometimes even feed them. I would also sit with them during meals and just acompany them. Now at my latest job I started as a care provider and i fell in love with the care and time I was able to Spend with residents specially in the memory care unit where I became Medication Tech. I absolutely love being there for them when family can't be there and give them the care and love their loved ones trust the employees to give in their absence. Im very proud of the years I've worked around the elderly, the relationships I've created and finding a field that I absolutely love and enjoy working in.
