I am an excellent Caregiver, no challenge or task when it comes to my patients needs are refused (unless detrimental to the patient.) I never take chances when lifting or transfer patient with special special needs I'm a good listener. Respect is big thing when it comes to caring for the sick. "They are not children" and should treated and respected as adults I have a way of respectfully getting them to exercise, take the medication, bath, exedra. Because I know these patients that. An also suffer from depressed, I try really hard to keep their spirits up and remind them they are loved and cared for. Have the abilities to speak with doctors and articulate whats needed for the patient. Make appointments. Order and prepare medications. Check vitals, including blood sugar. Give insulin shots. The for knowledge of gastric tube feeding and maintenance of the tube. Full knowledge and experience using a Hoyer lift. I'm able to guide an electric wheelchair while patient is in it, good with getting him patients out the house, shopping walking. I'm an excellent and caring care giver. I am specially proud of working with quadriplegic patient that only giving 5 years. we shared 13 1/2 wonderful years together.

I am responsible, dependable, upbeat, compassionate and have more than 5 years experience as a caregiver. I became a caregiver after a company I was working for went out of business and found that I loved working with elders. I've always enjoyed them and have always been sensitive to their needs and now that I'm a retired person I can really relate to their issues. I gained a lot of experience having cared for my Mother who was quadriplegic, it touched my heart to see her so helpless and to know that she couldn't do anything for herself. However, I was grateful and honored to be there for her. I'd worked for an agency before she became sick and had gained a lot of valuable experience, my previous experience had been in communications. Knowing that you have made a difference in someone's life is very fulfilling and rewarding. I have experience as a home health provider/companion, massage therapist and have worked as a physical therapy aide in Inglewood, and Beverly Hills California. I am president and CEO of a non-profit organization which has done voluntary work in Ghana and Senegal West Africa establishing a health care system in under-served communities. I have received a Medical Certificate from Universite Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar Senegal, a Scholastic Award, Community Service Award and was an honor student and on the Dean's list at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science. I have an Associate of Science degree as Medical Assistant.

I became a caregiver over 20 years ago to give back to a community that deserves attention, care, and compassion. The community that I talk about are people in need of living an independent life, despite personal and physical limitations. I enjoy being a caregiver because it allows me to help others to gain back or continue a quality of life that they have been accustomed to for a long time and through this I can learn from them and make a new friend. A personal achievement that I am proud of is that I recently graduated from college earning my Bachelors Degree at 41 years old and I am currently working on my Masters in Psychology. It and is a tedious task, but it is one that I am most proud of along with being a single parent of three responsible young men. I am 42 years old and I am a natural born giver. I enjoy giving to and doing for others it makes me feel good and warms my heart. It is a very selfless act that does not require thinking, an unconscious action brought on by my love for others, and an expression the love I have inside of me.

1993 I was a CNA for 3yrs in Long Beach Ca. Also I been caregiving in Las Vegas for 7 yrs. We did bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, showering, shopping, medication reminders meal preparation feeding, and charting.

Because I love working with people especially the sick individual of all ages. It is rewarding for me and I feel it is what I am called to do in this life.Seeing the people I care for thrive, become better. I like assisting and caring for the people I work with. Caring for a stroke patient who was comatose and seeing that patient improve from being bed bound to a wheel chair to a walker to walking with a cane and going home. It took a lot of team effort but It was awesome. I am a retired RN who started as a nurses aid to a LVN the to RN. I worked in nursing for 30 years give or take a few years and loved every bit of it. My last job was 2008 I was looking forward to retirement. I've become board with retirement and want to work a couple of days a week. Since I was employed in the medical field I decided this is the best field for me to work.I want to work as a companion/caregiver at this time. I have no problem with giving baths,bowel and bladder care and anything in between. I love all aspects of care giving. I did not add a lot of pass work experience if needed I can send an indept resume.

The empathy and compassion I have shows my patients I care about them and there to help them. My greatest enjoyment and why I became a caregiver is spending time with my patients getting to know who they are, supporting them emotionally and physically.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I have patience cause it may take others longer to complete some tasks compassion empathy and understanding are absolutely necessary I have a sense of humor finding something to laugh about can make a thought situation easier being present in someone life who may not be able to see family and being detail oriented creating schedule plan for emergency and organizing different information

i am a very patient, compassionate , dependable. I enjoy caring for the elderly especially those who cant do for themselves, I give my everything to help them out. I have done private care for sometime since 1997.

Being able to help others is why I chose to be a nursing student. I love being able to help others who aren't quite able to take care of themselves. I'm proud of helping others and receiving great feedback!

What makes me a great caregiver is that I like to help other people who are not able to help themselves as they use to. Making someone feel comfortable with that themselves makes me feel great within my own self that I was able to provide my care. I would get out of my car to help someone get across the street.

Seeing someone with an intellectual disability able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life is enough to make it all worthwhile. 2) Making small changes to their everyday life to make major beneficial changes to someone with an intellectual disability. 3) CHANGE....Relocating from California to Nevada 1 year ago. 4) I would be a good fit for your company because I am a very positive, people person and I feel I can hit the ground running based on my experience in this industry. My hours are flexible and I'm able to work extra just to get the job done.

I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I saw a lot of seniors being mistreated in public. I like that I can help others be more productive in daily living. I'm proud that I am a people person and that I get along with just about anyone. I respect everyone that I come in contact with. I have been very passionate about taking care of people for a long time. I'm a very caring and honest person. I enjoy being able to help others do things that we take for granted. I think that everyone deserves to have positive and loving people in their lives regardless of the situation.

I enjoy helping people that need help. Knowing that I can help someone who needs help gives me a bit of pride. Working with different people and knowing that they appreciate you being there for them. I never imagined when I was younger that I would become a caregiver. I became a caregiver by accident, when I had a relative that needed help. At first I was a bit apprehensive about categorizing for someone, then I became attached to the individual and their well being. It can be emotionally taxing, but I enjoy what I do. I just hope that if for some reason if I became incapacitated, there would be someone to help me when I need help.
