I am an excellent caregiver and medical attendant because I have a natural gift for treating people, especially the elderly, with the respect and care they need and deserve. I entered the healthcare field as a second career and am sensitive to what it takes to be mature, dependable, and attentive to the responsibilities of the job. As I surveyed all the possibilities when choosing a field within the healthcare industry I tried several of them and found that caring for our aging population to be the most rewarding for my particular set of skills. So what makes me an awesome caregiver is the following; First and foremost I have a caring and nurturing personality, I have empathy for others and understand people have different reactions to situations, I'm patient, I'm attentive but also allow the patient to be as independent as they can be and to make sure I'm not overbearing, I'm trustworthy and loyal, I communicate with the patient and family and lastly, I try to make myself available anytime I'm needed. Caregiving is something that's not meant for everyone. I enjoy helping others and have always been drawn to the elderly. And the relationships I've made with patients is something I value and appreciate. I'm also CPR and first aide certified. I enjoy cooking and baking. And love animals!

I completed my degree later in life while working two jobs and raising a family. Currently, I work full time as a teacher and my availability for Elder care is evenings and weekends. Hi! My name is Nikki I am 25 years old, I graduate in May with my AA in health science. I plan on transferring to SJSU to get my BSN. What attracted me to be a caregiver is my passion for helping others and helping me gain more day to day knowledge on my way to my future career.

I have been Nurse Assistant for about 14 years. The reason I choose this career is because I love to help people to get their independency and a way to live better, with more confidence and independency.

I have been working in the medical field for over 25 years..I became a caregiver to my first clientt in 2011 and soon realized I was meant to do Caregiving to our Special Seniors or whomever may need this type of care .My first client eventually was in a nursing home for a period of 1 month. During that time, I had the desire to return to school and became a CNA. I truly enjoyed all the training and the experience that I received. I acquired a job with Visiting Angels in 2013. I have had some awesome experiences working with our senior citizens. I also have a daughter who is now 18 and has had a medical condition since she was 5 months old. I believe all of the experiences that I have had help me to be a very compassionate caregiver to my clients and my clients family. I at times have stayed in touch with family members even after their loved one has passed away. I have been working as a Nursing Assistant at our local Hospital for over a year and a half..I Love my position in taking care of those who need help while in the hospital..My daughter is now 20 and my oldest 23..Each BLESS my life daily!!

I became a caregiver when a family friend had a stoke and couldn't find someone to help or keep her company or enrich her time somehow. After her passing i realized that this was something I wanted to do and have done so for the past eight years. I am licensed, insured and currently working on my CNA/ Nursing license.

I took 2 and a half years of nursing back in my country - Philippines. A friend of mine from California offered me a job, took the opportunity without 2nd thoughts, and thats how i started. My name is Diana Halvorson. I spent over 7 years providing care to my husband, who passed in late 2019 of cancer-related issues. I did not have much help during that 7 years because we lived in a remote, rural community. I would like to help other people in a similar situation so they do not have to deal with this alone. I believe my most purtenent traits that will help me in this endeavor is my patience and calmness under pressure. I enjoy making people feel that they matter. The love I receive from my children, both human and fur, are the achievements I am most proud of.

My name is Alanna I've done caregiving for about 14 years now. I've worked at 3 different facilities before but found that working one-on-one was more of my liking because you actually get to know the individual better. I love working with the elderly because they always have the best stories to tell. I've worked and have been trained on working with people with dementia,Alzheimer's, stroke patients, as well as working with adults with special needs. I'm a pretty quick learner and love to work and meet new people.

I believe all clients are unique and have different needs. I try to learn each one so I can cater to each individual. What makes me above others is that I do not provide cookie cutter service. I am 20 years old and am trying to become a Nurse one day I am currently working on becoming a CNA.
