Its an all around good feeling to know that with my help i can make someone happy. Then I know that my job is done well. One patient that im proud of was a hospice patient he had a life expectancy of 3 to 6 months but with proper care and love he stuck around for 2.5 years... When I first started my nursing journey I didn't know where to start, I started as a activities assistant and then from there my love for helping others grew . I became very interested in helping residents with their ADl's and even to the simple things of getting a cup of water. And that's when I made the switch to became a caregiver, doing things for others made me love the job I did because of the how the residents enjoyed my company and their day would just be interesting and joyful.
