I have more than 5years experience of being a caregiver.Handled a variety of cases from Alzheimer/Dementia, stroke, diabetic, even individuals hooked on an artificial ventilator/ trache. 20 yrs ago, when my Mom got stricken with cancer, A non-medical hospital staff was assigned to her and I learned that she was a caregiver. I was inspired by her dedication of taking care of my Mother. She gave me pointers of how to take care of my Mom(as I was also by her bedside). I consider myself as an advocate for the needy and the sick. The emotional satisfaction of helping someone is something that you cannot put a price tag on. Being a caregiver inspired me to pursue schooling at SCROC taking CNA/HHA course,of which I am proud of as it broaden my knowledge of patient care.
