Hi my name is Yesenia. I am a 31 yr old mother of 2, motherhood has taught me a lot about caregiving, loving, understanding, communication, patience and even some psychology. I also have a great mother who taught me love and respect not just towards myself but also those around me. She made me self conscious about my actions and the act of giving wheater it be food, material, or just time and help to others. I'd really like to be able to have this opportunity to venture into something that I really love doing, I want to be able to share a piece of myself with others not just because they need it but because I also want to achieve my own personal growth as a human being. Why I became a caregiver is helping those who cannot care for themselves, and I wanted to be a nurse and still pursuing it. I first started in a large cooperation assisting adults with developmental disabilities, I learned fast a grew quickly becoming a director. This works was meaningful and taught me a lot about neurological disorders and caring for others by entering in to their world not trying to bring them in to mine. I am very proud of the work I did their and still maintain high standing with them. However it became more about paper work and less about the people.
