I became a caregiver for 5 years because I love taking care of people I love doing the right things/helping others. My personality is an outgoing/ lovable and all my residents love me I will treat them family. One of the things that I get happy about is when the family have good feedback about telling me, tell that I'm doing a great job taking care of their parents.

Hi My Name is Destiney I am 28, and I've been a caregiver for the past 12 years, Since I was 16. I am dependable and I love what I do. I have a great passion for helping people who cannot do for themselves, and to help them become more independent. I first worked as a caregiver for 6 years with a 87 year old female with dementia and other health complications. I then worked for 2 Years at an Adult day facility, there I worked with about 42 clients with a wide range variety of disabilities, from clients that were high functioning to clients who were non ambulatory and completely dependent. At both of my Previous jobs I did meal preparation, I Performed personal care tasks, like assisting with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, I was also to Ensure client safety and also maintaine a safe environment. I also Assisted with toileting. I also Encouraged self-help activities. I Planned meals, I prepped food and served meals, or fed meals, depending on the clients needs. I also transported clients to and from there homes and facility, In a 10 person Van, We also took clients on outings, to stores, parks, and library's. It was alot of fun, and I really enjoy caring for others, especially the elderly .

I became a caregiver and never quit I love to help people and to see the smiles on there faces
