What makes me a good caregiver would be I'm very compassionate I'm honest caring loving and I love to help people what push me into the medical field I volunteered for a year-and-a-half with my grandmother until she moved to Sacramento and I like what I did so I went and got my CNA I'm a certified CNA and that's the accomplishment that I am most proud about

MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY VORAWAN WANAPOOM I WAS BORN OCTOBER 8, 1976 IN THAILAND. IM THE OLDEST OF THE TWO CHILDEN MY MOM HAVE. MY MOM MOVED MY SISTER AND MYSELF TO GERMANY WHEN I WHERE 9 YEARS OF AGE. WE LIVED IN GERMANY FOR 4 YEARS BEFORE MOVING TO MONTERY CALIFORNIA WHERE MY MOM OPENED UP A RESTAURANT WHERE MY SISTER AND I WORKED. AFTER FINISHING HIGH SCHOOL IN MONTERY CALIFORINA, MY MOM DECIDED TO OPEN HER SECOND RESTAURANT IN ALBANY GEORGIA. I MOVED TO ALBANY TO MANAGE THE RESTAURANT. I KNEW THAT RESTAURANT LIFE WASN'T WHAT I WANTED TO DO FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I DECIDED TO ATTEND CLARK UNIVERSITY FOR INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS. IN 1996 I ATTENDED DEKALB COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR PCT/CNA I COMPLETED THIS TRAINING AND NEVER LOOKED BACK AT THE RESTURANT LIFE. IN MY MANY YEARS OF EXPERINCE AS A PCT/CNA I HAVE WORKED VERIES JOBS FROM HOSPITALS, REHABILITATION CENTER, HOME HEALTH AND PRIVATE DUTY SITTING. I LIVED IN THE ATLANTA GEORGIA AREA FOR 12 YEARS BEFORE MOVING BACK TO CALIFORNIA FOR 7 YEARS. IN CALIFORNIA I CONTINUE TO WORK AS A PCT/CAN. IN 2013 I MOVED TO ARIZONA AND STARTED MY OWN COMPANY CALLING IT COMPANIONS THAT CARES. THIS COMPANY THIS EXIST TODAY. I HAD OVER 100 CLIENTS SINCE I STARTED THE COMPANY. THIS IS A VERY REWARDING JOB TO HAVE. IN 2015 I BECAME A HEALTH AND WELLNESS COACH. AS OF MAY 23, 2018 I WILL RETURN TO THE ATLANTA GEORGIA AREA. Hello! My name is Elissah! Current caregiver at sunrise of Monterey! I am looking for a job similar to the one I have but more inclusive! Where I am working we usually are assigned 10 residents or more per care manager! I am super bubbly, gentle, compassionate and love to help! When I first started working at sunrise I met a resident who made an impact on my life, she recently passed away. I wish I had the time to get to know her more but with 9 other residents to tend to during my shift, it seemed impossible! When I was looking into this type of career I wanted to be able to have that time to do just that. However since she passed I can't help but want to do more! I don't like the feeling of caring about someone and being with them everyday to only find out I didn't truly know them! I grieve, even when I've only had one conversation with the individual! I'm not sure where I am going with this but I just know I want to do more! And with one on one care I believe I can do just that! And more!

I have been working in the medical fields for 15 years off and on I have also been through several In service training programs on properly caring for love ones I'm very dependable I love caring for people and making sure I can brighten up there day making sure there safety and health are number one priority I love being a caregiver because I enjoy caring for others and making them feel special by treating them with respect love care Im proud that I have made the decision to further my education in the health fields as a RN I'm currently in school and I'm very excited to become an RN.

I've always loved to help others as much as I could. Growing up I helped take care of my great grandma who had Parkinson's and Dementia as well as my little brother who had a rare genetic disease which made him unable to eat, move, see or hear anything by the age of 3. My other brother suffered from a stroke when he was a baby and had 5 open heart surgeries putting artificial ventricles in. During this time as the oldest sibling I was very invested in helping my family and in that time I learned I truly care for helping other in need. I currently work with developmentally disabled adults and I absolutely adore my clients.

Past duties include: Cooking, lite house cleaning Giving medication, assistance with walking around, monitoring blood pressure and heart rate, transportation, companionship, clients with loss of memory issues, some lite bathing to doctors and personal errands, health advice, lite fitness exercises, assistance with oxygen tubes, sitting and talking with patient.
