My name is Diana, I am 26 years old and live in Arizona. What attracted me to being a caregiver was seeing first hand what a difference you can make in someone's life. I chose caregiving as a career because I enjoy taking care of others. I am a kind, loving, understanding, helpful, organized, trustworthy, responsible person and I enjoy making people laugh. My first job as a caregiver was at an assisted living home called Vintage Gardens. There, I cared for residents who had dementia, diabetes, heart conditions and who were both deaf and blind. During my time at Vintage Gardens, I received my Medicine Technician certification and was soon able to give the res. their scheduled medication prescribed by their doctors as well as care for wounds. I enjoyed my time at Vintage Gardens not just because I was given the opportunity to care for my res. but most importantly, I was able to be there as a friend and companion. I then was given the opportunity to work at Valley Children's Hospital in Madera, CA as a Pediatric Care Technician. I left my job there to move to Arizona. My duties consisted of taking vitals, toileting, bathing, documenting activity, input and output, as well as assisting Nurses with IV's, picking up blood and platelets from the lab for transfusions when needed and communicating with patients and parents and helping them feel as comfortable as possible. I worked in different departments such as respiratory, surgery, gastric, rehab and oncology. I have been blessed to work alongside such a great team. Though I was saddened to leave such a great hospital, I will continue to be the best care giver I can be wherever given the opportunity. My significant other is in the Air-Force and is stationed in Phoenix, Arizona, which is the reason I departed. I am excited for this new journey in a new place. I assure you, I will provide the best care to your loved one.

I am excellent with children and have a lot of experience with children. I enjoy being around kids and someday hope to be a pediatrician. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the joy kids bring me and the funny things they do.

Since I was little I have always wanted to enter the medical field I love helping people and making them feel comfortable. I wasn't able to achieve my goal do to having 2 surgeries from my kids. This is a great opportunity for me to help others with anything such as grocery shopping, housekeeping, transportation etc.

I'm a very caring person I'm always thinking about if this was my mother if this is my father or my kids or someone I love so I give them the best care I treat people with the same respect that I want I love making people happy and taking care of them when I recently lost my last job my aunt asked me to find my love and I was like I didn't understand what she was talking about so I thought about all the jobs I had over my lifetime and I was a caregiver or CNA back in the 80s and I remember how that made me feel so I started taking care of people again and I really really enjoy it

I have been a caregiver for about 6-7 years and a CNA for about 2. A good friend of mine needed help with a lady who had Alzheimer and I had no experience at all. They say the best way to learn is through doing, and I couldn't agree more. I learned many great traits along my journey as a caregiver. I am a very patient, calm, and giving person. I enjoy helping my patients with activities of daily living and assisting them with any needs they may have like toileting, transportation, medication reminders, etc. Being a caregiver is a very rewarding job. To be able to help someone makes you feel good about yourself, and the relationships you build along the way make it all worth it in the end . I stared as a caregiver, not knowing anything, to now being a Certified Nursing Assistant, to now working on my nursing degree. I love what I do and take it very seriously. I am an honest, hard working, caring and trustworthy.

I consider myself to be patient, warm, kind, and giving. I enjoy taking care of others, making them feel comfortable and appreciate it. Ive had the privilege to look after a friend that's 101 years old, he has so many go experiences and still has the a wonderful attitude. I feel happy that in some way I can contribute to making someone feel special and loved.

I feel I'm a great caregiver because I have been doing for over 10 years with a few family members and it gives me joy to be able to help someone else's that needs me. I have a lot of experience with caregiving with 2 family members that needed a caregiver. I enjoy knowing I can help someone who can not care for themselves anymore due to whatever it is. I enjoy talking to them and getting to know them and what works best for them. My person achievement that I'm proud of as a caregiver is knowing at the end of the day my family members were taken care of and got everthing they needed and didn't need to worry about who would help them cause I was always a call away.
